At Sacred Trinity our treasurer, Lorna needs to step down and so we need to find someone new to be our Treasurer. This is an unpaid volunteer role but we are, of course, happy to pay expenses. Our Treasurer doesn’t need to be a member of the congregation but it is obviously good if they are supportive of our vision to be a Christian presence in the heart of our part of the City Centre serving all the community. We are a busy building offering a variety of community activities as well as 3 church services a week. We also like to think of ourselves as something of a cultural hub with regular concerts and art exhibitions. The role of Treasurer is not too onerous and we have people who will count the cash and go to the bank but it would be good to have someone with an understanding of numbers and budgeting. The video below is an introduction to the role of Church Treasurer from Manchester Diocese. At Sacred Trinity our turnover last year was about £50,000. We are developing plans for our building that if they come to fruition will mean that our turnover for a couple of years will be substantially more than this and our ambition is to be a bigger, busier church. So finding the right person would be really helpful for us going forward. If you are interested in finding out more then talk to Andy on 07436532408 or email andy@sacredtrinity.org.uk.
